We are now heading home after spending Thanksgiving 2007 on the boat in Ensenada, Mx. We got a chance to sail one day; not as much as we wanted but a great day was had by all. We had thanksgiving dinner with our new cruising friends, Brian and Laurie Anderson, who were boat sitting for the boat next to us. Not sure how Laurie did it but she cooked a big turkey with all the fixins. Great food and great friends,

Today Barbara and I go to the World Series Game in Denver. Rockies are in serious trouble.

We have now owned Destiny for 6 months. How time flies! Just another 3 months and we are off. We are making our list of things to do and learning about the boat. I have a lot to learn. At times it seems like I am drinking out of a fire hose but slowly and surely I am making head way.
Since owning the boat and sailing to Ensenada I have been to the boat 3 times. Each time I learn more and can’t wait to get down there in November. My big project at the moment is studying for my amateur radio license. We need to have this done so we can open up another form of communication from the boat - can’t have too many.
I have to talk a minute about my crew, best friend, and wife. Barbara is really becoming a sailor. She is reading books and getting familiar with all the jargon and equipment associated with the boat. I am so proud of her and her sense of adventure. I know this will take her out of her comfort zone but she will do great. I am so very proud of what she has accomplished.
